Thank you to all who volunteered, donated, and/or participated in the 2023 Hike for Hospice. It was very successful being the first in person event since COVID. HIKE FOR HOSPICE 2023
The Hike for Hospice and Palliative Care will be live and in person for 2023. After the past few years of being virtual, we will hold this event on May 28, 2023 at the Oliver Community Park walking loop. The event will kick off at 1:00 PM and hikers can choose to walk 1, 5, or 10 km (one loop around is 1 km).
Hike for Hospice brings in much needed funds to support Desert Valley Hospice Society’s clients in long-term care facilities, in hospital, or in care in their own homes. Please consider participating in this event. Or if you are unable to participate, consider pledging a participant. This is a family and dog friendly event (dogs must be on leash at all times). All ages are encouraged to participate. Strollers are welcome!
Register as an Individual hiker, get a team together of friends and family, or challenge a co-worker, local business or community group to help raise money for end-of-life care and grief support in the communities of Oliver, Osoyoos, and Okanagan Falls.
Be as unique as you want to be! Dress up, dress down, bring your kids, bring your dogs (on a leash)! This is a family and dog friendly event.
All participants bringing pledges in will receive a free hotdog and refreshment at the event. If you can't get pledges you can still register and do the walk by paying a $10 registration fee ($10 includes your hotdog).
Pledge forms are available at Re/Max offices in Oliver and Osoyoos, Royal LePage in Oliver, Sonora Community Centre in Osoyoos, Oliver Eats, Oliver Community Centre, and at the DVHS house at 22 Jonagold in Osoyoos. Or download the form here.
