what we do
Public Awareness and Education
Through media, events and presentations, we work to educate community members about hospice and end-of-life care. |
Assistance and Support
Our trained hospice volunteers assist and support individuals and their families who require end-of-life care in Osoyoos, Oliver and Okanagan Falls. |
Caring for Our Communities
The care and support of individuals with life-limiting illnesses is our top priority. We are also committed to growing our hospice programs and enhancing our abilities to best meet the growing need for hospice, palliative, end-of-life care and services in our communities. Our vision is to work with our stakeholders to provide palliative respite beds at our Supportive Care Centre in Osoyoos. Advocacy Supporting people so that they can have a 'good finish' needs to be a key priority of government and health care services. To that end, we lobby and educate key decision makers in hopes of constantly improving support and services for those nearing end-of-life. Visit our list of programs and services. |
Honouring the Memories of Loved Ones Some of our special events, including our Celebration of Caring Hands and Hike for Hospice, offer opportunities to honour the memories of loved ones lost to illness. |
Fundraising Our fundraising events supported by the generous donations from the people and businesses in our communities are used to help further our vision. |
